Portable washer dryer combo ventless – Portable washer

portable washer?
does anybody know anything about it? Do you think that I could have it install in my 1 bedroom apartment without letting the landlord knows about it?

Check your lease. It might be in violation if you do which is grounds for eviction.

Washer use – Washer

Is it environmentally safe to use cloth washer used water for my lawn?
With the growing population in California, water will become a problem in the near future. With the present drought, it is likely that soon it will be banned to water the lawn everyday. I am considering to use the cloth washer used water for watering my lawn if that situation arises. Any feedback?

gray water used this way is a great help …. BUT…. you must be sure it’s permitted in your state or area….. gray water is full of bacteria… some that are harmful to folks and environment…. for that reason, gray water cannot be held in barrels or other containers…. if it’s used at all, it must be used straight from the source….. in NC, even tho we’re in a drought situation and need it badly, it’s not allowed here….

I don’t know if the use of a cistern makes a difference or not… and the new idea of treating gray water hasn’t made it here yet….

anyways… find out for sure before you do …. cuz if you come up with the only lawn on the block that’s green, they’ll be watching to find out why…..!!!……the fines aren’t cheap….

iPod Info = iPod Nano, 8 gigabyte, 3rd generation, silver color

If an iPhone or iPod has been damaged by liquid, the repair is not covered by the Apple one (1) year limited warranty or an AppleCare Protection plan (APP). iPhone models and iPod models that were built after 2006 have built-in Liquid Submersion Indicators that will show (as described below) whether liquid has entered the device.

Products Affected
iPhone, iPod touch, iPod nano (3rd generation), iPod classic, iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, iPod shuffle (3rd generation), iPod classic (120 GB), iPod nano (4th generation), iPod touch (2nd generation)

iPhone and iPod products are equipped with Liquid Submersion Indicators in the bottom of the headphone jack. iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS models also have an indicator on the bottom of the dock-connector housing. These indicators will be activated when they come in direct contact with liquid. They are designed not to be triggered by humidity and temperature changes that are within the product’s environmental requirements described by Apple.

You can tell if the headphone-jack Liquid Submersion Indicator has been triggered by looking directly down into the headphone jack. Use a lighted magnifying glass or angle the iPhone or iPod so light shines down into the headphone jack. At the base of the headphone jack, you should see what is normally a white or silver-colored dot. Half the dot becomes red or pink when the device has been submerged in liquid. To view the dock-connector indicator on iPhone 3G or iPhone 3GS, use a lighted magnifying glass and hold the device so that you can view the center bottom of the dock-connector housing. A full or partial red dot will appear if the indicator has been triggered.

Electrolux washer and dryer – Electrolux washer

What do the numbers mean on an Electrolux Washer Dryer?
I’ve just rented a new apartment and the owner has an old washer dryer from Electrolux with no instructions. I understand the temperature settings knob but the other one only has numbers. Does anyone know what these numbers mean?

Thanks!

If you can get the model number from the door frame of the washer and dryer, you might be able to find the owners manual at the following site and determine what each of those numbers mean:

Washing machine without agitator – Washing machine

Is there a name for top load washing machine without agitators? Trying to better my search ability?
Thanks!

I think the word is pulsating… I had one that sort of gurgled the water up and down, like the old fashioned plunger “posser?” Mum used to use before we had a washing machine. But the modern version is sort of upside down to that.
I did not find it very effective , and had to soak the clothes overnight to get anything clean. I sold it after 9 months. That’s 5 years ago ; maybe they do a better job now. Certainly good for delicates!!

Gas dryer exhaust fumes – Gas dryer

How long before Gas clothes dryer fumes clear?
getting a oder in gas clothes dryer. Dryer 6 mnts old. Moved dryer yesterday to do work around it. I may have kinked the vent pipe. Not a gas smell more like exhaust. After making sure vent was unrestricted I still smell an oder but not as bad. How long should it take to clear fumes. I have run 3 loads through the dryer smell appears to be going away. I probably did 2 loads with the vent restricted.

It should clear soon, but just to be on the safe side if I were you I would double check the gas line and vent line.

LG Dryer dle2101w – LG Dryer

How do I convert LG dryer DLE3777W for operation on 220V from the original 120V?
I recently moved from the US to Australia. My LG dryer DLE 3777 W came with me. Bought a transformer, but it still doesn’t work. How do I convert it to work on 220V? I’m an electrical engineer, so if I can get a wiring diagram of the electronic control unit, I will be able to fix it.

Most clothes dryers work on 220/240 AC, which is what australia uses. The heater coils and possibly the motor are setup to run on the higher voltage. It probably uses 110/120 for the control circuitry, and that’s what you need the transformer for.

Gas dryer line – Gas dryer

How much is reasonable for a plumber to connect the gas line to dryer?
I bought a new gas dryer. The gas line is already there on the wall, he just needs to connect the dryer to the gas line. Additionally, it’s already vented and leveled. I was quoted $300 by a local plumber. Is it just me, or is that outrageous?

Thanks!

All that is needed to do this job is an adjustable wrench and a flexible gas connector. Both are available to any hardware store. Connect the flex line to both the gas bib and the connection on the dryer. Start the threads GENTLY. Once they are hand tight, finish with the wrench. Try not to over tighten. Mix a small amount of dish detergent in a cup of water and use a sponge or towel to soak the connections. Turn on the gas. If you see bubbles forming at the connections you know they’re not tight enough or they’re cross threaded. Correct this until there are no bubbles. You’re now good to go. About a 15 minute job.
